<g:plusone size="medium" href="http://www.independentrockstar.com/1488/independent-rockstar-version-20/"></g:plusone>

Dun dun dun dun dun dun dah dah dah daaaaaaaaah!

Welcome to the next incarnation of Independent Rockstar! Things are going to be quite a bit different around here. First off, you’ll still get the same quality content that Independent Rockstar has been built on. The difference is that you’re going to get a whole lot more!

Independent Rockstar is now a team of writers who are going to deliver you killer content EVERY DAY from Monday through Friday. I love this team and I know you will too!

Being an independent artist is friggin’ hard. We’re on a mission to help you. There’s an awful lot to learn, but the greater the challenge, the greater the opportunity. We’re going to hit on everything from entertainment law to fitness to music licensing, recording, improving your website and a whole lot more!

We’re also going to introduce some more opportunities to get you a little exposure and allow you to give back to the community at the same time. We know that each of you has something that you’ve learned along the way that can help other artists, so send us your best tip and if we choose it, we’ll feature you in your own post with your tip, a photo, a few words about you and an MP3. It could be a strategy to get more fans to shows, a philosophy, a social networking tip, a fun idea or anything else that you think could help make things more fulfilling, profitable, exciting, and/or fun for other artists.

Over the course of the next two weeks you’ll be introduced one-by-one to our new contributors. Please give them a warm welcome! Each of them has been carefully chosen because they care and they have a lot of valuable advice that will make a difference for you.

The bottom line is that we’re all here to help you. We don’t have all the answers, but we sincerely hope that we can give you some valuable tips and insights that will help make your experience as an independent artist more enjoyable and fulfilling in some way. As always, if you have any ideas, feedback, tips, questions or frustrations then please contact us HERE.

A lot of ‘experts’ are telling us that the music industry is dead and that it’s a terrible time to be a musician. We beg to differ. This is the best time there’s ever been to be a musician. We have power at our fingertips that we couldn’t even dream of 20 years ago. All we need to do is learn how to use it. In order to do that we have to evolve.

The answers won’t be found by looking backwards. They’ll only be found through learning, creativity and inspiration. We’re in the wild west of the next evolution of the music business. There’s huge opportunity here. We’re all in this together and we all have the chance to help each other learn and grow, so please participate and help spread the word!

Let’s kick some ass! \m/
